Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. degree in Accounting/Business Management/Business Studies from a recognized institution
  • At least two (2) years of experience working in an institution of similar standards

Special Responsibilities:
  • The accounting officer and supervise the functions of the Accounts Department
  • Plant Manager and supervise the ancillary staff and grounds operations
  • Recording Secretary for the Board of Management
Requirements and Skills:
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software
  • Ability to take Minutes of Meetings
  • Ability to prepare the payroll
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven work experience as a bursar
  • Computer literacy
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities
  • Excellent supervision and management skills
  • Executive problem solving skills and the ability to organize and manage
  • Familiarity with budget preparation and cash flow management
  • Solid time management skills with an ability to prioritize work

Gate Security/Checking Officer (Kingston, Jamaica)

A leading manufacturing and distribution company in Kingston requires the services of a mature and reliable male Gate Security & Checking Officer to monitor its entrance gate and maintain accurate and efficient log sheets as well as delivery and other records. Must have an excellent memory and uphold high ethical standards of honesty and integrity while completing all tasks quickly and with high quality standards in mind.

Duties include:

  • Checking all products in detail against invoice and other documents.
  • Maintaining accurate and legible daily staff attendance log sheets. 
  • Maintaining a vehicle in/out and visitor' log.
  • Performing end of day locking up procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess the following;

  • High School Diploma with a minimum of three (3) CXC subjects
  • Three (3) years' experience in a similar capacity.
  • A knowledge of construction and Building Products will be an asset
