Toll Road Compliance Inspector (Toll Authority) - Kingston, Jamaica

Toll Road Compliance Inspector (SOG/ST 5)

To monitor the Concession Agreements for compliance with operational and maintenance standards and requirements as well as to assist the Senior Toll Road Inspector in the development and management of Toll Road policies and plans with respect to the provision of engineering services that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of toll roads.

Required Skills/Competencies:
The ideal candidate must possess excellent analytical, leadership and management skills, as well as proficiency in the use of AutoCAD.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or any other equivalent discipline
  • Minimum of two (2) years working experience with at least two (2) years working experience with at least one (1) year experience in the transportation engineering field
  • Experience in inspection of roads, structures and related items would be a distinct advantage

VACANCY: ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENTATION SUPPORT – PROJECTS

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (PLAN PROJECT ACTIVITIES):
  • Prepare budgets.
  • Create schedules.
  • Execute technical and engineering project tasks.
  • Prepare weekly reports.
  • Prepare estimates of time and cost.
  • Prepare request for quotations.
  • Monitor daily execution of projects in the field.
  • Create drawings from scratch using AutoCAD.
  • Review engineering drawings and designs
  • Administer and organize different types of projects.
  • Create stock material reservation.
  • Ensure project cost is allocated to the correct internal order and asset number
  • Control documents and emails in corresponding order.
  • Update projects electronic folder with latest version of information (reports, drawings, picture, quotations, etc.
  • Track material delivery by purchase order numbers.
  • Track and record progress projects to completion.
  • Communicate with procurement, stores, maintenance, production packing plant and sales teams to achieve the objective.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Installation, Mechatronics or any related field.
  • Working Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and a Production System
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCad software, Project Management software.
  • Training in Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation, MV motors, Switch Gears, Electrical Machines, Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Linear, Plant Engineering, Machine Installation, Lifting and Rigging, Standards of Maintenance, Health Safety and Environment, Wastewater Treatment system, Project Management & General Supervision.
  • Good customer relations and communications skills.
  • Ability to create freehand sketches with details
  • Applied knowledge of technical and engineering drawings and ability to communicate in the language of projections, isometric, Single Line Diagram P&ID, Logic Diagram
  • Ability to use measuring instruments Multimeter, Megger Tester, Voltmeter, etc.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT



The candidate must have:
  • Four (4) CXCs including Math, I.T. and English or HEART-NSTA Level 2 Administrative Assistant/Records Management.

The candidate must have:

DISHWASHER (EIGS/GS 1) 

The candidate must have:
  • HEART-NSTA level 1 or level 2 certification or above 
  • A valid food handler's permit
  • At least one (1) year experience as a dishwasher
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain a schedule while responding to incidents
  • Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely, and the requisite professional acumen are mandatory
GROUNDSMAN (EIGS/GS 1)

The candidate must have: 
  • HEART-NSTA level 1 or 2 certification in turf management/grounds maintenance/gardening and landscaping
  • Possess superior skills in maintaining the grounds functionally and aesthetically
  • Preferred candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented and organized
  • Proficient with operating grounds-keeping equipment and have two (2+) plus years of work experience in a similar position
HEAD COOK (EIGS/GS 2) 

The candidate must have: 
  • HEART-NSTA Level 2 certification or above in Commercial Food Preparation and valid food handler's permit
  • Skills in determining food supplies, planning menus, preparing and serving a variety of nutritious meals
  • Strict adherence to hygiene protocols
  • At least two (2) years of work experience

Credit Solutions Manager (Kingston, Jamaica) - Scotiabank Jamaica


The Credit Solutions Manager (CSM) is responsible for contributing to the profitable growth and quality of the Banks Corporate and Commercial Credit portfolio by performing financial solutions related activities for clients including risk analysis, deal structuring, pricing, negotiation and credit presentation in concert with the Client Relationship Manager (CRM). The (CSM) is responsible for the deal structuring, negotiation and final decisions on pricing within his/her defined portfolio. The incumbent interfaces directly with clients at times, in partnership with the Client Relationship Manager. As well, the CSM liaises with Credit/Global Risk Management through the credit decision-making process.

Major Accountabilities:

Contributes to the profitable development of Commercial Credit business

  • Ensuring the timely analysis, structuring and presentation of credit/financial solutions proposals within the prescribed segment;
  • Providing prompt and sound recommendations in the analysis and adjudication of credit proposals;
  • Ensuring that writing to the Client Relationship Manager clearly conveys the rationale for decisions, so that they may respond effectively to clients;
  • Recommending alternative terms, conditions and covenants to provide a viable banking proposal to the client within sound credit lending practices;
  • Restructuring marginal proposals into bankable deals where possible;

Ensure the ongoing quality of the assigned credit portfolio through control and administration of the specific conditions and reporting requirements as specified in individual authorizations are adhered to:
  • Advising senior management of any credit weaknesses developing within individual accounts, by ongoing awareness and analysis of relevant financial, legal, political, technological, and industry information;
  • Maintaining adherence to the Bank's Anti-Money Laundering programme and Guidelines for Business Conduct, by reporting any unusual occurrences or fraudulent activities per established procedures.
  • Adhere to regulatory and internal bank policies and requirements.
Ensures the accurate communication of the terms and conditions of an authorization and supervises the effective and timely implementation of the same by:
  • Writing or reviewing all written authorizations to ensure accuracy, completeness and clarity.
  • Promptly and effectively addressing issues surrounding the adequacy, quality and completeness of loan documentation and security;
  • Ensuring prompt follow-up for acceptance of credit authorizations and responding promptly to any problems, amendments, extensions, reporting to senior management where necessary;
