Our client, a leader in the media communications field, is seeking to identify a proven.
Sales and Marketing Leader to join its executive team.
Operating in a dynamic environment, the successful individual will demonstrate exceptional creative skills in both the traditional and online spaces. S/he will be a strategic thinker with the ability to collate and utilize analytics for sound decision making and be able to build and motivate a team to achieve shared objectives.
Responsibilities
- Prepare annual budgets and sales objectives for the traditional and online platforms and ensure that the sales team meets its targets through the implementation of effective coaching and reward systems.
- Lead the development and implementation of successful marketing campaigns using traditional and online media.
- Promote existing brands, and introduce new and innovative products, and packages to the market to generate new revenue streams.
- Develop and implement sales initiatives, strategies, and programmes to drive and achieve budget targets.
- Participate and guide the sales team in making cold calls with a view to converting prospects into trading customers.
- Utilize analytics, customer feedback, and key insights to inform content generation that aligns with the needs of clients while being profitable for the business.
- Attend industry functions, events, and conferences to garner market intelligence, uncover new opportunities, and cement business relations.
- Organize various events to help promote the brand and services.
Qualifications and Skills
- B.Sc. in Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields with at least three years in a similar position. M.B.A. qualification desirable.
- Experience in the telecoms, media, and/or insurance industry would be an asset.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to make effective oral presentations.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of sales and marketing using traditional and online platforms.
- Exceptional leadership. organizational, influencing, and negotiating skills.
- Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and deliver results.
