Cashier (Trelawny, Jamaica) - Wisnyco Group

Jamaica's leading manufacturer of Food and Beverages seeks to hire a Cashier for our Hague location.The Cashier has the responsibility for the cash management process that is, the collection, reconciliation updating and posting of payments to the system. The incumbent is further responsible for posting payments received from walk-in customers to their accounts and the disbursement of petty cash on behalf of WGL

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reconcile payments in High Jump with related End of Day documents
  • Escalate discrepancies identified to appropriate personnel’s for action
  • Prepare daily haulage report
  • Prepare daily lodgements and receipts
  • Post and update all customers’ accounts in IFM
  • Collect and apply payments to the accounts of walk-in customers
  • Provide the Credit Department with an email notification for all payments collected from walk in customers
  • Send an email to the CEO and Finance Executives of lodgment figures
  • Calculate customer cash discounts, pickup discounts and GCT for accurate payment application
  • Issue and maintain an accurate log of Sales Representative’s credit support documents
  • Do a routine clearing of the drop boxes
  • Safe keep the petty cash fund, disburse payments and request additional cash to replenish the float
  • Perform clerical duties to include the filing of documents for easy retrieval when requested
  • Any other duty assigned within the scope of the job

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
  • Minimum five (5) CSEC passes including English A and Mathematics/Principles of Accounts with at least one (1) year experience working
  • Good communication skills – both in written and verbal formats with the ability to communicate with varying levels of staff
  • Trained in the use of MS Office productivity tools (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
  • People oriented and results driven with good interpersonal skills
  • Keen attention to details with good analytical, numeric and problem solving skills
  • Ability to maintain trust, confidentiality and integrity and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders

Position Title: Loan officer
Reports To: Branch Manager

Job Overview

The Loan Officer is responsible for the organic growth of the branch loan portfolio, through meeting and exceeding assigned monthly loan targets whilst mitigating and controlling delinquency. In doing so, ensures portfolio growth and revenue generation of sales from increased portfolio as well as penetrating the market share. Develops and administers customer and prospect relationships. Responsible for the identification of relevant new business opportunities and designs "go to-market" plan to deliver measurable and significant revenues. Pursues sales opportunities in the market, and carries the baton in the beginning of the sales cycle.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Interview prospective loan customers in-branch and “on road” to preapprove loan clients for various loan products.
  • Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
  • Evaluate and assess borrower’s business history, income sources and credit report as well as the amount of debt he/she carries and payment.
  • Determines if a borrower’s financial ratios, such as debt-to-income ratio, meet the company’s lending standards.
  • For collateral loans, the Loan Officer is responsible for evaluating the condition of the asset and determining that the borrower has or will get good title to the asset and well as the margin to be recovered if such collateral is to be repossessed.
  • Inform borrowers of loans approved or decline as well as to inform customers of additional requirements required for loan assessment
  • Develop creative strategies to retain the clients including interviewing them to take their feedback and incorporate it into the growth plan.
  • Researching the market for identifying new business opportunities
  • Explain prospective clients about the advantages of the products or services offered and follow up with them in order to close the business deals
  • Manage customer calls and appointments effectively for new opportunities
  • Participate in industry forums, client discussions, and conferences as a representative of the organization
  • Set up with the use of Marketing, desk at different organizations to promote the business as well as to get new leads for loan target growth.
  • Any other reasonable duties assigned by branch manager.

General Responsibility

Perform inspections of existing facilities to determine and verify structural detail of area(s) designated for cabinets, bathroom vanities, closets and counter tops and provide measurements of the preparation of these items for installation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and record basic architectural, domestic, plumbing, mechanical and electrical data from customers' premises and project sites to complete field measurements.
  • Manually prepare drawings for floor plans and counter to designs for submission to the Customer Service Department, Cabinetry Division and Fabrication Plant for the processing of quotations invoices, cabinet design, fabrication and installation.
  • Review customer requirements and make recommendations for cabinet and counter top design and placement based on the layout of electrical, plumbing and domestic equipment.
  • Provides assistance to the Project Coordinator when required.
  • Provide assistance in the Customer Service Department with the design of kitchens and bathroom vanities and any other related duties that may be required when necessary.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Camp Counselor (Trelawny & St. Ann, Jamaica) - HEART/N.S.T.A Trust

The HEART/ National Service Training Agency Trust (HEART/NSTA Trust), a statutory Organisation mandated to co-ordinate and facilitate the training, assessment and certification of the Jamaica workforce to International standards, invites applications for the position of:

Camp Counsellor (eight (8) weeks contract, four (4) positions)

HOPE/NACP Residential Camp

Trelawny and St. Ann

The Camp Counselor is responsible for implementing the counselling programme to enhance the vocational selection, personal and social development of trainees.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • NVQ-J Level 5 Certification, Bachelors Degree or equivalent disciplines such as: Career Development/Counselling, Social Work, Workplace Training and Industrial/Counselling Psychology, Human Resource (HR) Development and Industrial Training any other related disciplines.
  • At least three (3) years' relevant experience work experience in a comparable position or business/work environment such as: HR Division of any large Organization, a major employment bureau, a tertiary TVET Institution, an employer Polytechnic/University Career Placement Department or a Ministry of Labour Department.

Key Duties:
  • Provides guidance for trainees on matters involving educational, vocational, or personal/social problems.
  • Conducts individual and group counselling and makes referral to external agencies where necessary.
  • Evaluates and conducts appropriate counselling for poor performers or underachievers.
  • Develops and administers programme for employability skills.
  • Conduct dorm visits as necessary.
  • Develops appropriate counselling strategies and methods to enhance learning.
  • Assists with planning  and coordinating career expositions, job fairs, workshops and field trips to help trainees gain insight and employment within their chosen career.
  • Plans and coordinates job readiness programme to prepare trainees for the work of work.
  • Maintains records of trainees' attendance to the scheduled sessions.
