Press Operators (Kingston, Jamaica) - Xsomo International Limited

Xsomo International Limited, an industry leader in the manufacturing sector, and an organization committed to delivering relevant printing and technology solutions to our clients, requires the services of: PRESS OPERATORS - Pressman (Sheet-Fed Offset Printing) and Pressman (Web Offset Printing).

Summary of Responsibilities and Duties:

• Operate the sheet-fed offset printing press or web offset printing processes
• Optimize press operations and efficiently use raw materials and other consumables to minimize waste
• Proficiency in operating press computers, units, and auxiliary equipment
• Proficiency in identifying operational issues and making the necessary corrections
• Maintain proper registration of colours and consistently monitor product quality
• Interpreting Production Work Sheet and ensuring production records are accurately completed
• General operator care/maintenance
• Adhering to all safety practices and operational procedures

Requirements:

Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:

• Ability to work within deadlines
• Ability to take initiative and demonstrate flexibility with production changes
• Proficient in fundamentals of printing
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with the Heidelberg/Printmaster/RMGT sheet-fed printing presses are an asset

Education and Experience:

• NVQ-J Level 2 certification or secondary education or equivalent disciplines such as: printing and graphic services
• Training in lithographic printing
• A minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in a comparable business/work environment
• Must be willing to work overtime and flexible hours, as may be required
