Press Operators, Machine Operators (Kingston, Jamaica) - Xsomo International Limited

Xsomo International Limited, an industry leader in the manufacturing sector, and an organization committed to delivering relevant printing and technology solutions to our clients, requires the services of: PRESS OPERATORS and MACHINE OPERATORS.

Summary of Responsibilities and Duties:

• Operate assigned machines efficiently 
• Resolve the following situations where applicable:
• Proper Registration of colours
• Sheet length variations, etc
• Assembling and meshing of punch rings
• Setting correct bearing caps
• Consistently maintaining the balancing of water and ink
• Interpreting Production Work Sheet
• General operator care/maintenance
• Achieving agreed budgets for assigned press or machine
• Adhering to all safety practices and operational procedures

Requirements:

Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:

• Ability to work under tight deadlines and consistently meet targets
• Ability to take initiative and demonstrate flexibility in meeting changing situation
• Proficient in fundamentals of printing
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Education and Experience:

• Four (4) CSEC subjects or equivalent
• A minimum of two (2) years experience in a similar role

Special Conditions associated with the job:

• May be required to work beyond normal working hours
• May be required to work some weekends
