Project Manager Assistant (Temporary) - (Manchester, Jamaica)


A road construction/civil engineering company based in Manchester seeks the services of a prospective candidate to serve in the capacity of Project Manager Assistant (Temporary).

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate site inspections and give report on quality, safety and progress of the various sites and notify subcontractors of issues to be corrected/amended based on site instructions or client's requests
  • Be able to plan, organize and direct the activities of the project
  • Prepare estimates and Bill of Quantities and be knowledgeable of the tendering process
  • Prepare, edit and interpret project schedules and manage daily activities to meet task deadlined
  • Monitor daily task force (equipment operators and labourers) to be included in weekly pay bill
  • Ensure finished products of construction are done in a timely manner and according to specifications
  • Track daily expenses on each job and report to Project Director and Project Manager


Requirements:
  • First degree or certification in Construction/Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying or other related discipline
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in specific field
  • Project management skills 
  • Results driven
  • Ability to work on weekends
  • Willing to leave office and perform site visits
  • Competent in Microsoft applications
  • Knowledgeable of accounting software QuickBooks (highly recommended)
  • Knowledge of project management principles
