A road construction/civil engineering company based in Manchester seeks the services of a prospective candidate to serve in the capacity of Project Manager Assistant (Temporary).
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate site inspections and give report on quality, safety and progress of the various sites and notify subcontractors of issues to be corrected/amended based on site instructions or client's requests
- Be able to plan, organize and direct the activities of the project
- Prepare estimates and Bill of Quantities and be knowledgeable of the tendering process
- Prepare, edit and interpret project schedules and manage daily activities to meet task deadlined
- Monitor daily task force (equipment operators and labourers) to be included in weekly pay bill
- Ensure finished products of construction are done in a timely manner and according to specifications
- Track daily expenses on each job and report to Project Director and Project Manager
Requirements:
- First degree or certification in Construction/Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying or other related discipline
- Minimum one (1) year experience in specific field
- Project management skills
- Results driven
- Ability to work on weekends
- Willing to leave office and perform site visits
- Competent in Microsoft applications
- Knowledgeable of accounting software QuickBooks (highly recommended)
- Knowledge of project management principles
