Roles & Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant efficient and optimum performance of staff and systems
- Maintain a customer focused restaurant, ensuring that the quality service and delivery are in keeping with the company's high standards
- Ensure that the restaurant upholds the required quality assurance and food safety standards of the company
- Effectively communicate and maintain the company's culture and required standards through coaching and motivational exercises towards building a cohesive team environment
- Ensure that the restaurant adheres to the respective occupational health and safety standards
- Demonstrate effective people management skills to ensure resolution of problems in a timely manner, while exercising tact and confidentiality
- Ensure the profitability and optimum operation of the restaurant through proper planning, cost management/cost control and sales and marketing initiatives
- Preparation and submission of reports to meet deadlines or as required
- Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to work on public holidays and weekends as required
Qualifications & Experience:
Either
- A tertiary level accreditation in Business Management, Food & Beverage Management or Hospitality Management with a minimum of two (2) years management experience
- A secondary level accreditation with four (4) to five (5) years experience in managing a business, preferably restaurant or retail operations
- Computer proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Word and Excel
- A valid food handler's permit is required
