The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for supervising blending room operations, conducting laboratory testing, product testing and assisting in securing and maintaining the confidentiality of recipes and ingredients of all products.
Responsibilities and Duties- Conduct laboratory testing of various inorganic and organic compounds.
- Generate and maintain laboratory test reports to include documentation of all duties performed and all parameters monitored and measured.
- Ensure necessary data is recorded completely and accurately to ensure traceability
- Monitoring and validation of all control and critical control points
- Supervise the activities of the skilled labour to ensure conformance to operating procedures and established company policies.
- Conduct and record findings of taste surveys or other research activities as assigned by management.
- Supervision of sanitation procedures, quality related projects or research as requested.
- Calculate and supervise the addition of products and their respective quantities to blending tanks to ensure conformance to the recipes and product specifications.
- Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Presenting monthly reports to management on a consistent and timely basis.
- Any other duties assigned.
Education/Training & Experience

- First Degree in Food Chemistry or a related discipline
- One to two (1) - (2) years’ of Laboratory experience
- Experience working in compliance with ISO standards and HACCP principles
- Analytical, decision making and problem solving skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- High degree of attention to detail
- High levels of trust, integrity, flexibility and dependability
