Location: Head Office – 9-11 Phoenix Avenue, Kingston 10
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Building relationships with clients, probing to discover needs (asking questions and listening), closing sales for all general personal lines insurance (auto and home) and referring property, liability, pecuniary, life and health to our specialist agents, promptly.
- Calling prospects/clients to offer products and schedule/confirm appointments.
- Process customer claims in a timely manner and effectively communicating the process with the customer.
- Completion of appropriate documents i.e. cover notes, proposal questionnaires, claim forms, invoices etc. in a timely manner
- Scanning, data entry and photocopying.
- Answering telephones promptly and responding to customer needs timely and efficiently.
- Responding to telephone, email and other queries promptly and efficiently.
- Maintaining daily follow up actions on broker system.
- Attending and participating in training sessions and meetings.
- Review and preparation of renewal invitations.
- Making outgoing calls to clients to set appointments for reviews.
- Process in-bound correspondence within time frames required.
- Proactively identify and cross sell at every possible opportunity.
- Networking to build relationships with new clients.
Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
- Graduate of a tertiary institution.
- A Salesman licence in Motor Vehicle Insurance
- At least 2 years claims experience in Insurance
- High integrity, strong work ethic, team oriented, intelligent, energetic, committed to serving current client base while growing the brokers’ customer base.
- Must be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of specific company products while matching customer needs.
- Must have a positive attitude!
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent computer and typing skills.
- Must have a very good command of the English language.
- Great multi-task individual.
- Must be capable of working independently.
- Must be able to work Saturdays and extended hours if necessary.
