A leading food manufacturing company seeks to recruit a dynamic individual for the position of Payroll Officer.
Reporting directly to the Management Accountant the responsibilities/duties of the incumbent include but are not limited to:
Reporting directly to the Management Accountant the responsibilities/duties of the incumbent include but are not limited to:
- Ensure accurate and efficient processing of the company's payables
- Compliance with the company's policies and statutory regulations
- Prepare and submit payroll monthly and annual returns
- Advise senior management on the impact of new legislation on payroll procedures whenever necessary
- Analyse data and generating reports related to payroll when required
- Reconcile the General Ledger payroll clearing account and statutory accounts on a monthly basis
- Assist with month-end Management Accounts reporting
- Prepare data and documents for internal and external audits
- Comply with all administrative policies, procedures and performance standards to ensure the effective and efficient management of Payroll practices, procedures, reporting needs and records keeping
Education and Experience:
- B.Sc. degree in Accounting or Management Studies
- Two (2) years experience in payroll processing or equivalent
- Good understanding of Labour Laws and of the statutory regulations which apply to payroll
Skills:
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Well developed computer skills
