A legal officer is urgently required to work in a fast growing and dynamic micro-finance organization with corporate office situated in Kingston.
The selected candidate must have a strong administrative/organizational and interpersonal skills, being highly detailed oriented and the ability to multi-task, handle a fast-paced environment, require minimal supervision, be results focused working within a team.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Provide legal research and consultation on a wide range of issues
- Prepare, file, serve/dispatch legal documents
- Undertake foreclosure and conveyancing matters
- Represent the company on issues within the local judicial system
- Travel extensively across the island
- Be extensively involved in the debt recovery effort of the company to include commencing recovery of debt proceedings in court as well as having direct communication with clients via letters, phone calls, etc
- Possess superb written and oral communication skills
- Strong computer and technology skills
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- Legal Education Certificate
- Legal Bar admission with an active attorney's license
- Two (2) years experience
