Administrative Assistant (Kingston Jamaica)

 A leading hardware retailer seeks qualified persons to fill the capacity of the following position:

Administrative Assistant 

Duties & Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Creating and maintaining staff, suppliers, etc files
  • Act as relief receptionist
  • Telephone switchboard operating
  • Disbursement of cheques
  • Procure stationery and maintain adequate stock levels
  • Accounting functions including recording journal transactions, assist with payroll activities, assist with accounts payables functions
  • Typing letters, memos and other office documents
  • Perform other general administrative tasks

Qualifications:
  • Minimum five (5) CXC passes including:
    • Principles of Accounts
    • Principles of Business
    • Office Administration
    • Information Technology
  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience in an office environment
  • Mature, disciplined and confidential
  • Must have prior time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, E-Mail
