Requirements:
- First degree in Business Administration, Finance or Management Studies along with two (2) years of experience performing credit functions
- Diploma in Accounts or Business Administration or Management Studies along with four (4) years working experience, minimum of two (2) performing credit functions at a supervisory level
The successful candidate is required to have:
- Knowledge of Credit Management and Risk Assessment
- Ability to analyse data, solve problems and exercise good judgement
- High level of integrity
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work quickly under pressure and focus on details
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications and accounting software applications such as QuickBooks, a distinct advantage
Duties include:
- Maintain a department organizational structure sufficient to meet all goals and objectives
- Properly motivate the credit and collections staff
- Measure department performance with appropriate metrics
- Maintain the corporate credit policy
- Monitor the credit granting and updating process
- Visit the customers to establish relations
- Monitor periodic credit reviews
- Initiating legal or other recovery actions against customers who are delinquent
