Requires a Quality Manager (Industrial Bakery)

The Quality Manager plays a vital role in maintaining and improving the quality standard of an industrial bakery and is required to play a crucial role in upholding the bakery's reputation for delivering of high-quality products by ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, optimizing production processes, and continuously improving quality control systems.
Main functions:
- Develop and implement quality control processes: Create and maintain quality control procedures, polices, and protocols to ensure consistent product quality and safety.
- Regulatory compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards, including food safety regulations, sanitation requirements, and labelling regulations.
- Quality assurance: Establish and monitor quality assurance programs to assess, evaluate, and continuously improve product quality and production processes.
- Training and education: Train and educate employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices to enhance their understanding and adherence to quality requirements.
- Product testing and analysis: Implement product testing and analysis methods to evaluate product attributes, identify defects, and initiate corrective actions to address quality issues.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with production, operations, and R and D teams to resolve quality-related issues, implement process changes, and introduce new products or ingredients.
Applicant should possess:
- Bachelor's degree in food science, quality assurance, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years' of experience in quality management within the food industry, preferably in an industrial bakery setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality control standards, and industry best practices.
- Experience in implementing and managing quality control systems (e.g., HACCP, GMG, ISO).
- Certification in Food Safety (e.g., SQF, BRC) is an added advantage.
- Proficient in conducting quality audits, analysing data, and preparing reports.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively train and motivate team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
