The Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission (JADCO), an agency of the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport (MCGES), invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the full-time position of Office Attendant (LMO/TS 2). In the Human Resource Management and Administration Division.
Job Purpose
Under the general direction of the Office Manager, the incumbent provides ancillary services that will contribute to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Commission. The incumbent is responsible for the general cleaning of the office,furniture and equipment, light meal preparation and perform general office functions and deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
Technical/Professional Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that the work environment is pleasing by:
- Cleaning the offices and telephones and dusting all office furniture daily;
- Cleaning bathrooms (located inside office spaces) on a daily basis and ensuring that toiletries are in place
- Cleaning furniture and equipment daily
- Preparing and serving beverages and water to staff and serving refreshments at meetings or as otherwise directed
- Assisting with the dispatching of mails
- Laundry of bibs and tablecloths
- Good interpersonal and people management skills, good oral and written communication skills, sound personal and professional integrity, highly confidential, teamwork and cooperativeness and willingness to obey instructions
- Good planning, organizing skills
- Literacy and numeracy skills
- Good meal preparation skills
- Completion of Secondary School
- Two (2) years working experience in a similar position
- Certified food handlers' permit
- Meal preparation experience is an asset
