Logistics Clerk (Kingston, Jamaica) - Jamaica Defence Force


Position Summary:
The Logistics Clerk position analyzes an coordinates the logistical functions of a firm or organization; assists in the life cycle of a product, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery and final disposal of resources.

Candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
 Nationality: Be a citizen of the Commonwealth.

Minimum Professional and Educational Requirements:

  • Certificate in Logistics or its equivalent, diploma in Warehouse Management Logistics, equivalent or higher
  • Three (3) years of progressive experience in the engine electronic systems
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Receiving all material, machinery, chemicals and supplies
  • Verifying shipment against purchase orders and examine upon arrival
  • Preparing items for shipment to customers and/or return to supplier
  • Maintaining record keeping systems and mark material with part numbers, date and lot codes, revisions, etc.
  • Develop and implement shipping and receiving procedures
Key Competency:
  • Have an aptitude and desire to assimilate into military life.
