CASHIERS 

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:
The Cashiers are mainly responsible to accurately process customers’ transactions in a timely manner; this may include cash, debit or credit transactions. The position involves high interaction with customers and therefore providing excellent customer service to clients consistently is of utmost importance.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Counts money provided by the vault at the beginning of the shift to ensure amounts are correct. 
• Reconciles money at the end of the shift.
• Processes customers with membership cards accordingly.
• Receives payment by cash, debit, credit, vouchers or other, complying always with the company’s policy.
• Issues receipts and change to customers.
• Checks the security features of all debit/credit cards and ensures the proper identification of customers before processing transactions.
• Verifies all documents being used to purchase goods, checks for correct dates and signatures.
• Inspects all monies for irregularities/counterfeit.
• Advises Supervisor/Manager of needed voids, reprints or other type of transaction.
• Perform all cashiering-related tasks assigned for the effective function of the department.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:

• School Leaving Certificate
• At least 3 CSEC passes including English Language and Mathematics or equivalent.
• At least (6) months customer service or cashiering experience.

COURTESY HELPER

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:
The Courtesy Helper’s main responsibility is to unload items, baggage groceries and provide carry out service for our customers in an efficient and timely manner. The position involves high interaction with customers and therefore requires consistently providing excellent customer service to clients.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greets all customers and provides prompt, courteous service.
• Packs all customers groceries in a logical manner and ensures that no items are left behind.
• Escorts customers to their vehicles, if needed, and places goods in vehicles.
• Provides excellent customer service, answers questions about products, prices and promotions.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:

• At least 4 CSEC passes including English Language and Mathematics or equivalent.
• Customer service experience would be an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work as a team player
