Manager, Human Resources

Are you an experienced, qualified, professional Human Resource Practitioner who has worked in organizations with a staff complement of at least 200 team members? Are you ready to work in a fast-paced environment which consistently delivers superior customer service? Is the welfare of team members very high on your list of priorities? Can you lead and direct?

If so, and you are able to:

  • Partner with the management team to understand and execute the organization's human resource strategies.
  • Actively contribute to the success of the business.
  • Manage the talent acquisition process.
  • Research and analyze trends in compensation and benefits.
  • Create and deliver learning and development programmes and initiatives.
  • Oversee employees disciplinary meetings, terminations, and work with the Operations team to conduct investigations.
  •  Maintain compliance with the Jamaican Labour Laws and recommended best practices; review policies and practices.
  • Consistently display proven leadership skills; possess excellent administrative and organizational skills with a penchant for problem-solving along with being detail-oriented.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule and on-the-job flexibility.
  • Manage disciplinary and matters of termination per Company policies and the Labour Laws.
  • Consistently practice superior supervisory skills.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new HR technologies.
Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related Laws and Regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365, HRIS and Biometric software.

Education and Experience:

  • M.Sc in Human Resources; other additional HR Certification would be an asset.
  • At least six (6) years' HR hands-on experience, with a minimum of four (4) years at the managerial level.
  • At least three (3) years of supervisory experience.
  • Prior experience in the Tourism and Hospitality industry would be a distinct asset.
