The Child Protection & Family Services Agency (CPFSA) - formerly Child Development Agency - an executive agency under the portfolio of the Ministry of Education and Youth, invites suitable and qualified persons to fill the following position:
Administrative Assistants (Level 6), Regional Office, Manchester
Administrative Assistants (Level 6), Corporate Office
Job Responsibilities:Under the general direction of the Director, Alternate Care and Regional Director, the incumbent will provide high-level administration support through the following:
- Provide administrative/secretarial support for the department/division such as answering telephones, assisting visitors, and resolving or referring a range of administrative problems and inquiries
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, events, interviews, appointments for the Director, which may include coordinating travel and lodging arrangements
- Prepare or assist with the preparation of scheduled and/or ad hoc monthly statistical and narrative reports; performs general information gathering and analysis and/or forecasting as directed
- Sort, screen, review and distribute incoming and outgoing mail; compose, prepare, or ensure timely responses to a variety of routine written inquiries
- Arrange and participate in meetings, conferences, and regional activities as required
- Perform other related duties, as assigned by the Regional Director
Key Knowledge and Competencies:
- Excellent administrative and computer skills
- Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Good interpersonal skills and a great team player
Qualifications & Experience:
- Associate degree in Business Management or Office Administration or
- Certified Professional Secretary Designation
- A minimum typing speed of 55 wpm to 60 wpm
- A minimum of three (3) years of secretarial/clerical experience or,
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience
