The HEART/National Service Training Agency Trust (HEART/NSTA Trust), an statutory organisation mandated to co-ordinate and facilitate the training and assessment of the Jamaican workforce to international standards, invites applications for the following position:
Driver

The Job:
- The Driver is responsible for operating vehicles to transport goods, people, documents and other items and also assists in the coordination of functions. The job holder is also responsible for the timely delivery of correspondences.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A General Driver's License with a minimum weight of 7000 kg.
- NVQ-J Level 2 in Automotive Operation and Basic Maintenance or the equivalent.
- At least three (3) years relevant work experience in a comparable position in a business/work environment such as a transportation service company.
Key Competencies:
- Knowledge of Defensive Driving
- Flexibility
- Knowledge of Basic First Aid
Key Duties:
- Follow transport capacity limitations and ensure personnel use protective restraints.
- Follow approved routes and speed limits.
- Transport personnel, to ensure the safety of personnel, the vehicle, other vehicles, equipment, material and supplies and the surrounding environment.
- Transports personnel, equipment, material and supplies according to plan within the operating capacity of the vehicle.
- Transports personnel, equipment and material at authorized times according to schedule.
- Request routine vehicle maintenance and servicing.
- Carry out routine vehicle checks.
