Geddes Refrigeration Limited invites applications from suitably qualified individuals to serve this dynamic team as a Purchasing Assistant.
Job Summary
The incumbent supports the Purchasing Manager in purchasing goods (materials, parts, equipment, etc) to support the objectives of Geddes Refrigeration Limited.
The incumbent ensures that these are obtained at the right price, and specification, and through the best delivery options. He/She expedites and monitors the delivery of goods by following up on orders and liaising with local and overseas suppliers and the relevant company personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Tertiary level education in Business Administration/Accounting or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal, human relations, and communication skills
- Sound administrative time management, and organizational skills
- Well-developed customer relations skills
- At least two (2) years experience in a similar position
- Training in Procurement Contract terms
- Knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains software would be an asset
- Understanding of the components of Refrigeration Systems
- Literacy in computer applications
- Customer focused
- Results-oriented
- Self motivated
- Problem solving
