Qualifications and Experience:
- High School diploma/school leaving certificate or certificate in customer service
- One (1) year experience in Merchandising or Customer Service
Summary of Duties:
Providing excellent customer service, evaluate merchant needs, ensuring that store shelves are stocked with products, monitoring stock movements, managing inventory levels ensuring product displays are appealing to customers, reporting any issues/damages/shortages or product expiration to management, clean up unwanted items from flagrant violations in-store while adhering to quality, food safety and occupational safety health standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop merchandising strategies
- Maximize customer interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriately
- Stack, clean store shelves
- Monitor stock movement
- Determine the need for and implementing product promotions
- Job knowledge of product details
- Maintain and track inventory
- Liaise between sales representative and customer for product information
- Handle/direct customer enquiries/concerns regarding products and order, and follow-up with sales rep where necessary
- Check batch codes and expiration dates on products
- Repack unused finished products in boxes and ensure products are stored properly
- Inspect finished products for defects, take appropriate action, and report
- Assist with training and coaching of relief merchandisers
- Ensure that safety, hygiene, sanitation and quality standards are followed in all stores
