CASHIER
Key Responsibilities- Receive and process payments made by clients and ensure that the information is accurately entered in the accounting system.
- Prepare and issue receipts for all funds received on behalf of the company.
- Safeguard all cash received on behalf of the company.
- Prepare and balance daily lodgments for review by the Cash Management Officer.
- Maintain petty cash in accordance with established procedures
- Prepare petty cash reimbursement as needed.
- Provide support to Centralized Payables Unit
- Monitor/Manage cheque payment received from Payables Unit by getting first and second signatures from authorized signers
- Perform other duties in the Insurance Segment that may be assigned as deemed necessary.
- Upload ALL Finance invoices in Oracle Fusion for payment.
Minimum Qualification, Experience and Skills

- Diploma in Accounting or equivalent.
- Passes in Four (4) CXC/GCE Subjects including Mathematics and Accounts
- Two (2) years’ experience in cashiering, Accounting or Finance Department would be an asset
- Knowledge of accounting practices and standards
- Working knowledge of accounting software would be an asset
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets and Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Excellent time management and organizational skills
