SHIFT SUPERVISOR


KEY COMPETENCES & REQUIREMENTS
  • Tertiary level training in Engineering or Operations Management
  • Two years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in an industrial environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Exposure to ISO 9000/FSSC 22000, GMP and HACCP
  • Able to work on shifts and on weekends as needed
  • Meticulous with excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Strong initiative and team orientation
  • Able to work well with individuals at all levels.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Direct production and sanitation activities in all areas.
  • Manage ongoing performance of the production and sanitation teams
  • Conform to all company policies and regulatory guidelines (including Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Maintain accurate daily records of all sanitation activities
  • Manage labour resources to ensure optimum crew size and adequate pool of casual workers
  • Participate in quality projects aimed at continuous improvement
  • Participate in training programs organized by the company as required.
  • Manage the staging of lines on assigned shift and closure of all outstanding issues from previous shift.
