Quality Control Technician 

Requires for immediate employment

Yallahs, St. Thomas and Lionel Town, Clarendon

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Sample and test aggregates for quality and  conformance to specifications at the plant. 
  • Prepares Quality Control records and documentation.
  • Gathers, analyses and reports on product test data.
  • Enforces established policies and regulations related to quality control.
  • Investigates complaints of non-conforming products.

Requirements:
  • Diploma/certificate in construction technology or related discipline.
  • At least four (4) CXC subjects including Mathematics and English.
  • Two (2) years' experience in concrete and/or aggregate Testing.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Able to work on your own initiative and on weekends.
  • Must live in or near the respective areas.

Production Supervisor (St. Mary, Jamaica) - Jamaica Aggregates Limited

Production Supervisor - St. Mary



Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for co-ordinating, monitoring and supervising the activities of the plant. Communicates goals to employees and ensures that goals are achieved. He/she maximizes employee participation to achieve the desired team approach. Develops departmental strategies to enhance skills, improve responsiveness and promote business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the quarry
  • Coordinates and executes established activities of department to ensure that goals are met
  • Performs resource planning for forecasted activities 
  • Works with various support functions to resolve production problems and assists in troubleshooting 
  • Provides feedback to Maintenance department on equipment operation and production effectiveness 
  • Responsible for preparing status reports pertaining to production KPIs
  • Assists with operational efficiency
Qualification Profile:
  • Preferred: BSc in Engineering or other related degree
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Posses good oral and written communication skills
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong technical skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite applications
Other Requirement:
  • Must live in or near St. Mary
