Seeks to identify the ideal candidate to fill the post of: 

Quality Assurance Supervisor

Responsibilities:
  • Ensures department is staffed and functions efficiently
  • Ensures all raw material is received and meets standards
  • Ensures all packaging material being received meets required specifications
  • Monitors and ensures product fill weight is in accordance with guidelines
  • Monitors date codes for accuracy
  • Tests and keep records of retained samples
  • Execute product recall if needed
  • Ensures proper storage conditions of all raw/packaging material
  • Maintains strict quality control practices
  • Oversees product development and implementation of all food safety certifications

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Diploma in Natural Sciences or a related discipline
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in a manufacturing company preferably in the food manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices
  • Knowledge of HACCP
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
  • Must be able to work extended hours and on Saturdays

Qualify Assurance Officer

Lasco Manufacturing Limited, a leading food manufacturing company seeks to recruit a dynamic individual for the position of Qualify Assurance Officer. Reporting directly to the Qualify Assurance Manager, the ideal candidate will the following duties:

  • Achieve quality assurance operational objective by contributing information and analyse production as it regards output, quality, and customer-service standards.
  • Identify and resolve problems, completing audits, determining system improvement and recommending change.
  • Conduct hazard analysis, identifying critical control points and preventative measures, establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures and monitoring inventories.
  • Validate quality processes through established product specifications and quality attributes, measuring production, documenting evidence; thereby adding to quality assurance procedures.
  • Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
The ideal candidate must possess the following skills:

  • Process Improvement skills.
  • Excellent at analyzing information.
  • Strong strategic planning skills.
  • Able to communicate with persons at all levels.
  • Quality engineering skills.
  • Attention to detail, especially when dealing with complex matters.
  • Mature and responsible individuals.
  • High contextual knowledge of food manufacturing operations.
  • Proficient in the use of the Computer - Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point presentation.
Job Specification:

  • Degree in Microbiology, Biology, Food Science or Chemistry or a related discipline,
  • Minimum three (3) years working experience in a similar position.
  • At least three (3) years' experience in a food manufacturing plant.
