Job Description


Duties include:

  • Monitoring and maintaining current inventory levels, ensuring quantities that appear on the system are accurate for planning purchase, promotions and marketing activities.
  • Track and update stocks both on sheers and computerized systems (receipts, transfers, adjustments and write-offs).
  • Coordinates daily physical cycle counts and reconcile physical quantities in stock.
  • Prepare inventory sheets for monthly stock count and update system with data and extract variance reports.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate must have at least three (3) years' experience in Inventory Management or similar positions. 
  • General knowledge of warehouse and inventory practices.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent analytical, problems-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of an inventory software would be an asset.

Logistics Officer (Kingston, Jamaica)

 

Fast paced distribution company seeks Logistics Officer to provide direct support to Logistics Manager with compliance and procedures.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily shipping activities within the department.
  • Liaise with drivers, warehouse personnel, custom brokers in relation to documentation, transportation and transfer of commodities.
  • Liaise and negotiate with regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with the product license and permits.
  • Develop methods of tracking the Company's commodities.
  • Maintain and keep accurate records of inbound and outbound traffic.

Qualification/Skills:
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Observant, assertive, excellent networking and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills.
  • Should be a team player, work well under stressful conditions, and good time management skills.

Asset Management Accountant (Manchester, Jamaica) - Rusal Windalco

Asset Management Accountant in the Finance Department at Kirkvine Works, Manchester

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Ensure that accounting records including the General Ledger and Sub-Ledgers are correctly and properly maintained in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Accounting Requirements and Corporate Policies.
  • Carry out procedures for effective asset life cycle management ie. aquisition, utilization, reallocation and disposal of all Company assets.
  • Accurate and timely preparation of Monthly Management and other related reports (e.g. inventory statistics).
  • Prepare monthly bank and inventory reconciliations, report reconciling items and any anomalies and prepare/propose corrective entries.
  • Participate in the physical verification of all Company assets.
  • Investigate and report on the potential obsolescence of fixed assets.
  • Perform administrative functions as secretary of the Inventory Committee, including the scheduling of meetings and follow-up actions.
  • Maintain accounting controls by updating Standard Practice Instructions (SPIs) related to his/her functions.
  • Liaise and interact with external auditors, tax authorities and other regulatory bodies.

Candidates should have:
  • ACCA/CPA Certification or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Minimum three (3) years' proven accounting experience. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and particularly in Excel at the intermediate level.
The position calls for an individual with strong analytical skills, good oral and written communication skills, and excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate should also process strong problem solving and conceptual thinking skills with an attention to detail and accuracy, and must be able to work effectively in cross-functional groups within tight deadlines.
