The ideal candidate must possess:
- Sound knowledge of government accounting structure and the Financial Administration and Audit Act (FAA)
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- At least three (3) years working experience in an Accounting department with one or more years in a supervisory position
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff both orally and in writing
The selected candidate will be required to:
- Prepare schedules and assist the Commission's external auditors by providing all necessary information, books and documents
- Collect and prepare ad-hoc reports on the of the Finance Manager
- Prepare trial balance and income and expenditure statement including all miscellaneous revenue received
- Execute audit functions to chdck the accuracy of accounting systems and procedures
- Verify and inspect accounts receivable and payable ledgers and general ledger for accuracy
- Check, inspect and reconcile bank deposits and payments
- Maintain control ledgers and ensure that budgets for sub-hands are not over committed or over-spent
- Supervising Cashier
Consulting:
- Ensure compliance of regulatory guidelines and generally accepted Auditing standards
Required:
- Knowledge of using Microsoft Dynamics software and Microsoft Excel would be an asset
