The Jamaica Teachers' Association (JTA) is seeking a suitably qualified professional to fill the position of Secretary in the Administration, HRD and Finance Department.
The Professional is expected to:
- Prepare, type and collate reports
- Draft, type letters and documents
- Maintain an effective filing system for correspondence and documents
- Attend Conferences and workshops
- Extract data from evaluation forms and make graphical representation
- Prepare payment vouchers
- Notify committee members about meetings and prepare documents among other duties
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least an Associate degree in Business Administration or Secretarial Studies from a recognized institution or qualifications in a related field; Certified Professional Secretary Designation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, Microsoft Word, Google Suite, Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Forms)
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles would be an asset

- Be able to work with very little supervision
- Have analytical skills
- Have a minimum of two (2) years experience (required)
NB: The individual selected is expected to attend meetings and other job related duties on Saturdays from time to time.
