Caribbean Chemicals and Agencies (Jamaica) Limited, is seeking to identify the ideal candidate to join our team in the capacity of Administrative Assistant reporting to the Marketing Manager. The incumbent will provide support in the development, execution, and monitoring of trade marketing programs for the division's brands in order to achieve sales and distribution objectives.
Key Functions:
- Provides support to the Marketing and Product Development Managers
- Assists the team managers in organizing workflow through scheduling meetings, visits and providing necessary follow-up procedures
- Assists in the negotiation and implementation of agreed programmes and promotions
- Performs administrative duties including the preparation of correspondence, presentations and departmental documents/reports, filing and securing of sensitive documents
- Maintains communication and contact with Agronomists (MDA/PDA) regarding targets and forecasts as well as field demonstrations/trials, etc
- Communicates effectively with staff, vendors, media and customers by supplying information and promoting a positive public image and providing appropriate customer service, internally and externally
- Attend all department meetings
- Attends promotional events as required
Skills, Experience and Competencies:
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration
- At least three (3) years experience in a similar position
- Proficiency in the use of computer software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong oral and written communication skills
