ACCOUNTING OFFICERS
(HEAD OFFICE)
Kris An Charles Investments Co. Ltd. has been Jamaica’s premier micro finance company since 1992 and operates twelve branches island-wide. We are recruiting experienced Accounting Officers who are highly motivated, self-driven, and passionate about Accounting and people, highly proactive and have a demonstrated ability to meet targets and reporting deadlines.
The incumbent will be responsible for undertaking tasks within the Receivables, Payables and Disbursements Units and will be expected to utilize appropriate accounting procedures and ensure accuracy, timeliness and adherence to established standards. The incumbent should be highly competent in the use of technology including accounting software and should have demonstrated interest in advancing their career in the field of Accounting. They are expected to remain informed and updated with current accounting standards and to make recommendations for changes and improvements as needed.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or equivalent e.g. ACCA Level I
- Minimum of two (2) years’ accounting and/or auditing experience

- Reconcile loan receivables
- Prepare all payments in accordance with credit terms and Company policy
- Prepare GCT schedules
- Prepare audit schedules
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare and submit monthly reports and other reports as required
- Receipt and post payments
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Maintain general ledger
- Any other duties that are assigned from time to time
- Required to work at a desk and computer for long periods
- Required to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
- Required to handle high volumes of repetitive work
- Required to balance competing priorities
- Required to deal with queries from internal and external customers in a timely manner
- Required to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends, as needed
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
