Telephone Operator (Guardian Group)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the position of:

Telephone Operator

Facilities Department

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Handling incoming and outgoing calls in an effective and efficient manner
Reporting telephone system complaints to service providers, doing the necessary follow-up to ensure resolution and submitting Complaints Log
Using available paging system to contact persons and make announcements, as necessary in keeping with specified guidelines

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

Five (5) subjects at the CXC Genersl Proficiency level with grades 1 or 2, or equivalent passes in GCE O' level including English Language and Mathematics or another numeric subject
At least two (2) years working experience in a similar position
Formal training in switchboard operating
Honest, courteous, patient, pleasant, meticulous, and cooperative
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong command of the English Language
