Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the position of:

Telephone Operator
Facilities Department
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Handling incoming and outgoing calls in an effective and efficient manner
  • Reporting telephone system complaints to service providers, doing the necessary follow-up to ensure resolution and submitting Complaints Log
  • Using available paging system to contact persons and make announcements, as necessary in keeping with specified guidelines

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
  • Five (5) subjects at the CXC Genersl Proficiency level with grades 1 or 2, or equivalent passes in GCE O' level including English Language and Mathematics or another numeric subject
  • At least two (2) years working experience in a similar position
  • Formal training in switchboard operating
  • Honest, courteous, patient, pleasant, meticulous, and cooperative
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong command of the English Language
