The company requires a committed inventory specialist who will take the role seriously, acting professionally, with transparency, accuracy and with the ability to manage time exceptionally well. Spoilage and potential losses due to short shelf live are high risks factors faced by the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Record and maintain inventory using computerized inventory management systems
- Monitor inventory received against invoice/purchase orders for variances
- Participate in routine monthly and annual stock counts
- Report obsolete or expired inventory and adjust records for accuracy
- Report variances to Manager
- Visit location to audit inventory system and products
Critical knowledge and skills required are:
- BSc degree in Accounting - Inventory Management
- Excellent knowledge of software with inventory management systems
- Expert user of Microsoft Office Suites (Excel) spreadsheet applications
- In-depth knowledge of Accounting best practices
- Keen sense of attention to details and accuracy
- Analytical, assertive with good interpersonal and communication skills
- At least three (3) years experience in a similar capacity
- Must possess sound business ethics
