Collections Officer - Kingston

Job Summary

The position of Collections Officer acts as liaison between customers and our institution and the loan recipients towards repayment as per agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet set targets; comply with company standards and legal collection laws.
• Input data and create spreadsheets showing the progress of efforts to collect debts and negotiated payment options.
• Review delinquent account records to determine which customers require contact regarding collection of overdue accounts.
• Organize collection work load according to degree and amount of delinquency.
• Write letters for use in collection attempts.
• Refer accounts for repossession and legal actions to the Collections manager.

Qualification

• At least two (2) years proven working experience ass a Collections Officer.
• Familiarity with computers and loan applications/software.
• Solid understanding of direct/indirect lending products and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Bachelors Degree in related field.
