Operations Manager (Kingston) 

To report to the Managing Director

The Operation Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of all branches and departments, and providing  direction to the management to ensure they run efficiently and effectively. He/she will effectively manage operations and processes associated with underwriting and claims, while offering technical guidance and training to the team. The successful applicant will also be responsible for improving efficiency, identifying business opportunities, evaluating performance and productivity and generate reports.

Qualifications:
  • ACII certified
  • Working knowledge of EPIC Insurance Program
  • Must have a minimum of ten (10) years working experience in the General Insurance industry of which three (3) years should be in a managerial position
 Remuneration: Salary - $3 mil - 5 mil; Vehicle upkeep $480,000 per annum; Commissions, Uniform, Health and Life Insurance


Branch Manager (Kingston) 

The Branch Manager will be responsible for growing the Underwriting revenue of the Branch by ensuring that their team is trained in various areas of General Insurance.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of five (5) certificates from CIPS
  • Five (5) years experience in general insurance underwriting
  • One (1) year management experience
  • Working knowledge of EPIC Insurance Program an asset


Remuneration: Salary $1.68 mil - $1.8 mil; Commission based activities; Uniform; Health and Life Insurance.

Admin Assistant (Kingston) 

The Admin Assistant will report to the director and will be responsible for maintaining renewal and receivables targets for the branches along with their tasks assigned by the Director.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of two (2) certificates from CIPS
  • Two (2) years experience in general insurance underwriting
  • Working knowledge of EPIC Insurance Program an asset
Remuneration: Salary $1.2 mil - $1.32 mil; Commission based activities; Uniform; Health and Life Insurance.

Branch Manager (Corporate Area)

Key Duties Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective management either directly or through supervisory personnel.
  • Maintain awareness of competitors, market conditions, and opportunities for growth of the branch.
  • Motivate Branch personnel to cross-sell the bank's products and services.
  • Develop plans and strategies to improve sales and service delivery within the Branch.
  • Manage effective client service directly or through feedback from the Supervisory team.
  • Assist in preparing the budget of the branch in accordance with corporate objectives, strategies, policies and procedures.
  • Analyze local trends and forecast Branch needs.
  • Develop action plans to keep in line with projected needs.
  • Solicit, negotiate, and close client loans and advances in accordance with Bank's lending policies and guidelines.
  • Evaluate requests for advances, approving those within delegated  lending authorities.
  • Actively and aggressively monitor out- of -order advances and restrict the incidence of past due accounts.
  • Assess credit applications carefully reviewing clients' financial status.
  • Ensure that loans and other advances are properly documented, assessed, approved/ declined.

What do you need?
  • Bachelor's Degree in Banking and Finance, Management Studies or relevant discipline or the successful completion of the AICB Diploma from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years' working experience in Banking or a financial institution.
  • At least four (4) years' working experience ina Sales leadership role.
  • Experience in Credit and Operations.
  • At least four (4) years' working experience at a Supervisor/ Managerial level

Job Purpose

The Branch Manager is required to manage the operations of the Post Office effectively and efficiently. The incumbent is responsible for the management of products and services offered by the Post Office and undertake the custody and accounting for cash, stock and all other items of value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advises and makes recommendations to the Regional Manager on the development of the Post Office.
  • Initiates investigations solely and/or cooperatively into breaches of, but not limited to the Government's and the Department's various rules and regulations, FAA Act, illegal activities and misuse within the nation's postal system.
  • Acts as custodian for all Main Stock, Cash, Stamps and valuables assign to the Post Office and securing items in the vault on behalf of the Postmaster General in accordance with the FAA Act regulations.
  • Manages the stock level and imprest in staff's possession ensuring that there is adequate imprest and stock at all time.
  • Ensures that shortages are rectified to reflect the correct balance of monies received with immediate effect.
Required Competencies
  • Knowledge of post Industry and its Operations
  • Knowledge of the Government/Department's policies and procedures.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Sound knowledge of Records Management.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Customer Service and interpersonal skills.

A well-established Institution  in the  Retail and Manufacturing Industry is seeking to recruit dynamic and results- oriented individuals to fill the position of Branch Manager for our Super stores in Lionel Town, Clarendon and Luana, St Elizabeth.

The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall leadership of the Branch to attain and exceed set targets, while ensuring service delivery of the highest level, and a motivated and engaged staff. 

 This position has ultimate responsibility to:

  • Ensure that the financial performance of the branch is in accordance with stated objectives.
  • Coordinate and oversee the activities of the Branch to ensure the smooth running of the Branch.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to increase the branch’s profitability.
  • Ensure timely opening of branch and adherence to opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure Products are always available to be served to customers .
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and operational procedures, by branch personnel, in collaboration with your Department Head and the Human Resources Department.
  • Monitor performance standard of staff members and provide coaching in respect of performance and discipline in collaboration with Human Resources Department.
  • Submit performance appraisals.
  • Any other duty that may be assigned 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT AND EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of a Diploma in  Business Administration or equivalent
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience at the managerial level or three (3) years at the supervisory level
  • A current Food Handler’s Permit 

REQUIRED SKILLS/SPECIALISED TECHNIQUES

  • Sound Knowledge of the Principles of Organization and Management
  • Well-developed Human Relations and Customer Service skills
