Responsibilities Include

  • Activation of CCRP Five - Year Plan, reporting to the Chair.
  • Management of CCRP Head Office and island wide operations.
  • Bi-monthly Report to CCRP Board meeting and correspondence with Board on various issues. 
  • Oversight of events including the CCRP Living Legacy Awards.
  • Communication with Members, Partners and Stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization at important stakeholder meetings, conferences or other functions.

Skills and Qualifications
  • MBA or Management degree
  • At least three (3) years' experience in the private sector Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) activities.
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Digital Media
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.

The General Manager has general oversight of the operations of the National Religious Media Commission (NRMC).

Overall Responsibility:

Reporting to the Board of Directors the General Manager:

  • Designs strategies for achieving the Vision and Mission of the NRMC.
  • Oversees the Financial and Operational Management of the NRMC.
  • Ensures the continued motivation and productivity of Staff.
  • Strengthens the Entity as a leading religious station in Jamaica, the Caribbean and the Diaspora.

Requirements and Skills:
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or similar Senior Executive role.
  • Experience in Financial Management.
  • Knowledge of business processes and functions (Finance, HR, Procurement Operations etc.).
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
  • Master's degree in Mass Communications with certification in ratio and Social Media, or related Social Sciences with a minimum of five (5) years' working experience in the media landscape of which three (3) years should be at a Senior Management level.
  • Firm degree in Mass Communications or Media related field with at least seven (7) years' working experience in the media landscape, three (3) years of which should be at a Senior Management level.

Cool Market is seeking a highly dynamic and motivated E-Commerce General Manager (EGM) to effectively lead its digital journey. The ideal person must be able to establish a board, aspirational, relevant and economically viable strategy for the business. The EGM will articulate the strategy, secure support and resources, set operational priorities, mobilize focused action and manage performance.

What you need to succeed:

  • Technology and the ability to embrace, use and default to digital, collaborative software tools is critical. you should be an agitator for technology use in the business and you must be proficient in the use of computers and software.
  • An entrepreneurial mind and operating model. Optimism and pioneering can do attitude is essential.
  • Big,broad thinking with a focused, hands-on, lead by example, detailed style. A good mix of vision and execution competence.
  • A functional understanding of data analytics with a focus on predictive analytics and customer segmentation methodologies.
  • The EGM has financial and business acumen. You have experience building business models, creating budgets,prioritizing expenditures, reconciling profit and loss in the business and aligning strategy with financial realities.
  • You must be fanatical about customers.

Preferred Experiences, Qualifications and Soft Skills
  • University degree or equivalent experiences in business, e-commerce or other related fields.
  • At least five (5) years working in a senior management role either within your own business or with an employer.
  • At least five (5) years owning and managing budgets.
  • Experience with identifying marketplace issues and agitating for solutions.
  • Experience working with Google Ads Manager and similar software.
  • Experience in sales management is advantageous.

General Manager (Kingston, Jamaica) - Jamaica Bauxite Institute

 


The Jamaica Bauxite Institute is the principal policy, research and development, advisory, monitoring and implementation arm for the government of Jamaica in the Bauxite/alumina/aluminum sector.

General Manager Level 11

(Salary Range: $6,412,947.00 - $7,695,536.00)

Summary of Duties:

under the supervision of the Board of Directors, the General Manager will execute the following:

  • In collaboration with the Chairman and sub-committees of the Board, develop policies and recommend to the Government for the development of the bauxite/alumina/aluminum industry in Jamaica.
  • Direct the implementation of agreed policies falling under the purview of the JBI and ensure the implementation of monitoring strategies.
  • Oversee the formulation and implementation of research and development programmes to enhance the utilization of Jamaican bauxite ore in an efficient, timely and environmentally safe manner.
  • Manage the continual reassessment of Jamaican bauxite ore reserves to update knowledge on their quantity and quality and to ensure rational allocation and utilization consistent with the national interest.
  • Develop and implement community development programmes for the communities adjacent to bauxite and alumia operations, involving coordination among company heads, Members of Parliament, community leaders and government agencies, to ensure harmony between the operations and their neigbors and to ensure sustainable development programme in the area.
  • Direct programme to keep abreast of technological developments in bauxite mining and Bayer process technology to ensure their application here for the most efficient, environmentally safe utilization of Jamaican bauxite reserves and to maintain cost-competitiveness in world market.
  • Liaise with the Ministry directly responsible for bauxite matters, as well as associated Ministries, in, inter alia, taxation, monetary, utilities and labour matters.
  • Liaise with and give support to (via technical advice on negotiations or representation on boards) related organizations such as Jamaica Bauxite Mining Limited (JBM), and Clarendon Alumina Production Limited (CAP).
  • Liaise with, and provide support on Government's behalf, business-related joint ventures or partnerships such as JAMALCAM, JAMALCO.
  • Liaise with the heads of the bauxite/alumina companies, locally and abroad, and take or recommend necessary actions to the Board to enhance the proper development of the industry.
  • Manage the liaison with the companies, the formulation and imple mentation of safe environmental practices in the production and refining of bauxite and alumina.
  • Direct the development of programmes aimed at enhancing the development of byproducts from the processing of bauxite and alumina, such as gallium, rare earth elements, iron, titanium, ceramic and building products, oxalates, and sodium aluminate.
  • Provide oversight and development and the maintenance of a world-class documentation centre with relevant reference and archival documents related to the management of the industry, and the production on a scheduled basis of journals and other publications on the local and global industry. This includes but not limited to the crafting and implementation of impactful public education programmes in order to promote and safeguard the brand of the JBI inclusive of publication of research undertaken by the institution.
  • Oversee the development of human resources activities in the various critical areas of the Institute to develop and enhance the availability and preferred employer status of the JBI and retention of high-quality staff at all times, and ensure succession planning.

Minimum Qualifications and Other Requirements:

Education
An advanced degree in the sciences (pure or applied), economics, commerce, engineering, the liberal arts, law, or any other comparable subject.

Experience
  • At least ten (10) years' working experience in research, technical management, and international negotiations at a senior executive level in a large sized organization.
  • Demonstrate experience in developing strategic and business plans and a working knowledge of measures of performance.
Publications in critical scientific, economic or resource policy journals are an asset.

The Jamaica Urban Transit Company Limited seeks to recruit a General Manager - Depot Operations. 


Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • BSc. Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or equivalent qualifications
  • Ten (10) years experience as a manager in operations management of which at least five (5) years in charge of a business unit or a major cost centre
Core Functions:
 The General Manager is responsible for delivering a safe, clean, courteous and reliable public transport service that meets the requirements of commuters along assigned routes, and maintaining optimal levels of operational efficiency, productivity and cost effectiveness in the utilization of all resources allocated to the depot.

The successful candidate should also possess:
  • Sound knowledge of the road network of the Kingston Metropolitan Transport
  • Knowledge of logistics and scheduling
