Customer Service Representative (Kingston, Jamaica) - Guardian Life Limited

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE 

in the Pensions Administration Department

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Receive incoming mails and telephone calls and provide accurate, timely and relevant information
  • Respond to customers' queries and requests, and provide relevant information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Dispatch of communication to clients (e.g. Change of Status Benefit Statements, Refund letters, etc)
  • Attend to Pension clients who visit our office
  • Ensuring that the most efficient and timely service is provided to clients

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
  • A first degree in Business Administration or a related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution or equivalent educational qualifications
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience as a Customer Service Representative in the life insurance industry
  • Knowledge of pension administration is an asset
  • Sound knowledge of life insurance operations and services
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide project and operational support, including monitoring and support on project plans, milestones and deliverables to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with project objectives.
  • Update and collate documentation regarding project records, relevant issues, policies and practices to ensure the delivery of projects complies with project management methodology.
  • Undertake basic research and analysis in assigned project areas and contribute to the preparation of project briefs to support informed decision making.
  • Assist the project plans to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
  • A first degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Project management training.
  • At least one (1) year of experience working on projects.
  • Experience in business modelling techniques and tools.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of project Management.
  • Service-oriented, flexible.

Major Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assisting in ensuring compliance with l statutory requirement for the conduct of business and submission of documents to the relevant authorities.
  • Assist in the development, coordination and implementation of emergency evacuation and disaster recovery procedures and Company's risk management programmes.
  • Assist in the planning, coordination and administration of the product development process.
  • Preparing required reports.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
  • A first degree in Business Administration, Accounting or a related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • At least two (2) years' working experience in a similar position. 
  • Familiarity with FSC guidelines and regulatory requirements for Insurance, Securities and Pension.
  • Familiar with Auditing, Enterprise Risk Management and Business Continuity Planning.
  • Knowledge of the Company's operations, products and services.
  • Knowledge of risk, audit and project management principles, practices and techniques.
  • Knowledge of risk, audit and project management and Business Company's operations, products and services.
  • Knowledge of the Company's operations, products and Business Continuity Planning.
  • Knowledge of risk, audit and project management principles, practices and techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving and quantitative skills.

in our Pensions Administration Department.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administering pension plans on a timely basis.
  • Delivering highly professional customer service to clients.
  • Preparing data for valuations for defined contribution and defined benefits pension plans.
  • Preparing spreadsheets for the Deposit Administration Fund for auditing and consolidation with the Company's balance sheet.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • A first degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance or Economics from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • At least two (2) years' experience in an Employee Benefits environment.
  • LOMA Parts l and ll (within six (6) months of confirmation)
  • ACS designation would be an advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of Employee Benefit and Group Plans.
  • Knowledge of Beneficiary entitlements, Pension regulations and the Insurance Act and Regulations.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Company's products and services.
