The Ministry of Science, Energy and Technology (MSET) invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following posts:

  • Cyber Analyst/Researcher (MIS/IT 7) Salary range: $2,622,489.00 - $3,117,316.00 per annum and any allowance(s) attached to the post.
  • Director, Organizational Development and Performance Management Officer (GMG/SEG 3) Salary range: $2,551,250.00 - $3,032,364.00 per annum and any allowance(s) attached to the post,
  • Director, Corporate Planning and Performance Management (GMG/SEG 4) Salary Range: $3,154,073.00 - $3,749,202.00 per annum and any allowance(s) attached to the post.

Researcher/Records Officer - (Kingston, Jamaica) - Ministry of Justice

Researcher/Records Officer - Mobile Justice Unit
Qualification and Experience:
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Economics, Statistics, Sociology or related Social Science degree from an approved university or college
  • Bachelor's of Law degree
  • Minimum three (3) years of research-related experience (research, data analysis, etc)
  • Minimum one (1) year working experience in the legal profession
Required Competencies:
  • Working knowledge of legal and research techniques and the use of related software and tools (LexisNexis, WestLaw, SPSS, NVIVO, etc)
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Sensitive to clients' needs
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Excellent planning and organization skills
  • Displays a high level of professionalism when performing job functions
  • Excellent time management skills


Special Conditions associated with the job:
  • Possession of reliable motor vehicle
