The successful applicant's job function will include:
- Operating the switchboard to relay incoming and outgoing calls
- Logging in all customers, visitors and suppliers
- Obtaining and circulating lunch menu to staff and placing orders by the designated cut-off time each morning
- Receiving, recording and distributing incoming mail
- Recording and distributing cheques to creditors and filing cheque listings
- Assist callers with retail outlet prices
- Maintaining a record of international and cellular calls and preparing a monthly summary
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Certificate in Telephone Techniques/Customer Service
- Five (5) CSEC/CXC subjects including English and Mathematics
Specific Knowledge:
- Telephone techniques
- Customer Service
- Microsoft Word and Excel
Required Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Possess strong interpersonal skills
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work
- Good judgement/initiative
Work Experience:
- At least two (2) - three (3) years experience in a similar capacity
