Audit Supervisor

Job Scope: The incumbent is responsible for the systematic and timely assessment of the organization's governance and operating procedures to ensure that the Credit Union meets its financial and legal requirements. To improve the value of risk management and to carry out risk-based internal audits in keeping with the annual audit plan and special assigned projects. To defend the assets of the company and to ensure the efficient and effective use of the company's resources.

Core Functions:

The functions of the position include but are not limited to:-

  • To develop and establish risk-based audit programs, audit plans include audit scope, testing, procedures and reporting mechanisms.
  • Conducts comprehensive audits of our financial, operational and compliance processes.
  • Assess and evaluate internal controls to identify areas of improvement and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide recommendations to enhance operational processes and controls.
  • Supervise and monitor direct reports to ensure the goals and objectives of the unit are achieved.

Qualification, Experience and Key Competencies:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • ACCA professional Certification.
  • CIA Designation, CISA Certification would be an asset.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a similar position or environment.
  • Sound knowledge of auditing standards and techniques, internal control processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient in conducting risk assessment and executing audit procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent research, analytical and problem solving skills.

Supervisor - Loans, Mortgage

Job Scope: The incumbent manages the loans servicing department and is responsible for the administration of all mortgage loans. Ensures accurate and timely servicing and closing of the loan portfolio. The position also provides support to the credit and project loans committees of the Credit Union.

Key Responsibilities:

The functions of the position include but are not limited to:-

  • Supervise and lead a team of loan officers to ensure the goals and objectives of the unit are achieved.
  • Ensure mortgage applications are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory guidelines and credit union policies.
  • Review and analyze loan documentation, credit reports, and other relevant information to assess creditworthiness and determine loan eligibility.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of mortgage products, rates, and terms offered by the credit union.
  • Act as a resource for members and staff regarding mortgage-related inquiries and provide guidance throughout the mortgage process.
  • Makes presentations to the Credit, Project Committees and League.
  • Monitors payments and arranges collection of arrears on mortgage and project loan accounts.

Qualification, Experience and Key Competencies:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related fields.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a similar position or environment.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent project evaluation and risk analysis skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent research, analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in a similar position
  • Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Sound communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to communicate with staff at all levels and customer service oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to be a flexible team player
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, to multi-task and cope with changing priorities
  • Ability to work under pressure 
  • Ability to pay attention to detail
