Manager Garden Operations (St. Catherine, Jamaica) - Meadowrest Memorial Gardens

 

Meadowrest Memorial Gardens is located in Whittaker Mountain off the St. John's Road in St. Catherine. The Gardens has been developed on 55 acres of rolling countryside and magnificent views which serve as a perfect final resting place.

Manager Garden Operations

The Manager Garden Operations has overall responsibility for:

  • Managing effectively and efficiently the Garden operations;
  • Providing leadership and planning to all areas and functions of the Gardens;
  • Overseeing the suppliers of services including landscapers, contractors, plumbers, engineers and equipment providers;
  • Administering and controlling the operating budget of the Gardens;
  • Managing projects;
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Ensuring a positive brand identity for Meadowrest Memorial Gardens.
Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Operations management or related field;
  • Five (5) years' leadership and management experience;
  • Experience in the funeral services industry.

Specific Knowledge:

  • Construction management (would be an asset)
  • Project Management
  • Human Resource Administration

Customer Relations Rep. (St. Catherine, Jamaica) - Meadowrest Memorial Gardens

Meadowrest Memorial Gardens located in Whittaker Mountain off the St. John's Road in St. Catherine seeks to appoint a suitably qualified person for the position of:

Customer Relations Representative


Core Functions
 The The Customer Relations Representative located at the Gardens ensures amicable interactions with customers at the Gardens (Mourners, Funeral Directors, Pastors and Visitors). The incumbent is responsible for resolving any issues that may arise, escalating issues that are not resolved.

(a) Specific Knowledge:
  • Customer relationship techniques
  • Cemetery operations
(b) Qualifications and Experience:
  • Tertiary level education
  • Three (3) to five (5)  years customer service experience
(c) Responsibilities and duties include, but not limited to:
  • Organizing the flow of burial processions into the Gardens and communicate expectations
  • Directing/escorting mourners to burial sites/locations
  • Liaising with Funeral Directors, Ministers and Mourners/Family members to resolve issues and ensuring a smooth burial process
  • Assists loved one in locating vaults or confirming head stone installations
  • Recommending to management measures to improve customer service at the Gardens

Customer Service Representative (Kingston, Jamaica) - Meadowrest Memorial Gardens

The Meadowrest Memorial Gardens head office seeks to appoint a suitably qualified person for the position of Customer Service Representative. 

Core Functions:

The incumbent enriches the position and image of the Meadowrest Memorial Gardens through courteous and professional service to customers and is responsible for the customer experience from initial contact and booking, through to interment as well as post interment services.

Specific Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of the interment industry
  • Understanding of the use of technology and the internet in the industry
  • Proficient in the use of computer applications 
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent

  • Two (2) to three (3) years customer service and administration experience

Accounting Officer (Kingston, Jamaica) - Meadowrest Memorial Gardens

The Meadowrest Memorial Gardens head office seeks to appoint a suitably qualified persons for the position of Accounting Officer. 

Job Overview

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounting Officer is responsible for the maintenance of the Accounts Payable subledger, Payroll register, Fixed Assets, and inventory.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • ACCA level II or BSc in Accounting
  • At least three (3) years working experience in an accounts department
  • Experience in preparing audit schedules and journal entries
  • Working knowledge of accounting software Sage 300 will be a distinct advantage
  • Experience with preparation of annual budgets and monthly management reports
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and operate in a dynamic work environment
  • Keen attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Good working knowledge of spreadsheet applications including MS Excel
