The National Education Trust (NET) is seeking to recruit a qualified individual to fill the following position:
Administrative Assistant - Accounts and Procurement
Responsibilities:
- Collate special and recurring Unit reports by gathering, compiling and preparing information from various sources
- Maintain inventory of office supplies for the Unit and all associated records
- Manage the calendars of the senior managers of the Unit
- Attend meetings, record and transcribe minutes
- Draft response on matters for which authority has been delegated
- Compose and type bulletins, schedules, agendas and other documents as directed
- Maintain computerised and manual files and records
Minimum Required Skills, Education and Experience:
- Good time management and organizing skills
- Ability to demonstrate integrity, initiative, confidentiality and professionalism
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Good judgement
- Sound knowledge of office practices and procedures
- Excellent typing skills
- Strong computer and internet research skills
- Proficient in records management
- Knowledge of GoJ procurement policies and procedures
- First degree in Business Administration /Administrative Management, Finance or a related field
- Three (3) years working experience in an administrative position
- Experience in a procurement environment would be a valuable asset
