Records Clerk (Kingston, Jamaica) - Jamaica 4-H Clubs

Applicants are invited to fill the post of Records Clerk-Human Resource Unit. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining personnel files for all employees and providing clerical support to the Director, Human Resource and Administration.

Required Competencies:

  • Excellent knowledge of government regulations, policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of Jamaica 4-H Club laws and regulations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Highly organized and efficient in time management
  • Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
  • Attention to details and problem solver
  • Proficiency in the use of relevant computer applications
  • Professional appearance at all times

The successful candidate must meet the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Diploma in Business Studies or related discipline; Plus
  • Two (2) years related experience

Administrative Secretary (Kingston, Jamaica) - Jamaica 4-H Clubs

 Applicants are invited to fill the post of Administrative Secretary (OPS/ADS 2). The Administrative Secretary is responsible for providing secretarial support, maintaining the official documents of the organization, preparing minutes of all board and committee meetings.

The successful applicant must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management Studies or any related discipline
  • Five (5) years experience in a similar capacity
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer relations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent secretarial skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Proficiency in the use of relevant computer applications

Communication Specialist, Environmental Economist, etc. (Kingston, Jamaica) - Jamaica 4-H Clubs


The Jamaica 4-H Clubs has received grant funding from the United National Environment Programme (UNEP), to implement, in Jamaica, select components of the City Adapt Project - Building Climate Resilience of Urban Systems through Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EBA) in the Latin America and Caribbean Region'.

The general project objective is to increase the resilience of vulnerable urban communities to climate change by applying and integrating Ecosystem-base Adaptation ( EBA) into the medium to long-term plans within El Salvador, Mexico and Kingston, Jamaica. The project will promote EBA to government and local communities in these cities through the following three project components:

  1. Enabling environment for mainstreaming EBA into medium-and long-term urban development planning, 
  2. Demonstrating urban EBA interventions to establish climate-resilient communities, and 
  3. Obtaining knowledge and increasing awareness of urban EBA interventions throughout the LAC region.

The Jamaica 4-H Clubs now seeks individual Consultants for the following:

  • Project Lead
  • Communication Specialist
  • Environmental Economist
  • Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

Secretary (St. Thomas, Jamaica) - Jamaica 4-H Clubs


Applications are invited to fill the vacant post of Secretary (OPS/SS 2), St. Thomas parish office.

The incumbent is responsible for providing secretarial services to the designated manager.

Required Competencies:

  • Knowledge of Jamaica 4-H Clubs policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of Jamaica 4-H Clubs laws and regulations
  • Good interpersonal skills and customer relations
  • Good communication skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Proficiency in minute taking
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite applications
Successful candidate must meet the following required qualifications and experience:
  • Five (5) subjects at CXC or GCE level including English Language with proficiency in typing at a speed of 40-45 wpm, successful completion of the prescribed secretarial course at the Management Institute of National Development (MIND) or other accredited secretarial institutions; PLUS
  • Two (2) years experience in a similar capacity
