  • A strong sales aptitude with the ability to up-sell, cross-sell and overcome objections
  • Dependable and punctual in assigned work schedule
  • Must be familiar with computer applications such as MS Office Suite applications
  • Sales/Contact Centre experience is a plus

Telesales Agent 1 - Kingston, Jamaica - DIGICEL


Primary objective of the job:
To maximize sales, revenue and subscriber growth opportunities via outbound calls, through the signing up of new customers and upselling to existing. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Signup customers:
  • Position the value of Digicel + and LTE to new customers in order for them to apply for service.
  • Upsell existing customers with additional product and services that will enhance their experience on Digicel + and LTE to improve retention.
  • Escalate problems according to the query resolution procedure dictated by the Customer Care Centre
Add value to each customers’ experience:
  • Retain or re-establish relationships with customers by rapport building
  • Anticipating future need for assistance and providing for customers’ unspoken need
Adjustments:
  • Modify/adjust packages as per customers’ request.
  • Assist the process for installs, reconnections, change of services, trouble calls and special request orders into system.
Documentation of customer request:
  • Detailing each customer’s request / application for service ensuring that application process is seamless and in keeping with the Service Level Agreement.
  • Schedule and follow up customer’s orders

Academic qualifications and experience required for job:
  • Minimum of five (5) CXC (Caribbean Examination Council) CSEC subjects inclusive of English Language and a numerical subject (Accounts, Mathematics or Physics)
  • Certification in Customer Service or a related discipline is an asset
  • Certification in Sales 
  • At least six (6) months extensive sales experience in ICT, Telecoms or BPO
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
  • Selling or Influencing Others
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent telephone techniques
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Telecoms experience

Telesales Representative/Cashier (St. Catherine) - Hi-Pro Farm Supplies (Jamaica Broilers Group)


The Hi-Pro Division of Jamaica Broilers Group Limited is seeking an individual with strong sales and negotiation skills, to fill the above position. The candidate will be responsible for selling the products and services available in the Hi-Pro Division via telesales techniques, to include receiving orders, upwelling and making cold calls to prospective customers. In addition, the candidate will be required to process customers' transactions and accurately invoice customers for feed purchased at the Hi-Pro Sales Office, located at the Best Dressed Feed Mill.    

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Sales and Marketing or related discipline
  • Excellent negotiation, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Experience with computerized point of sale (POS) systems
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Knowledge of the agricultural industry would be an asset
  • Willing to work on contract
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar field

If you also have, door-to-door sales experience and love working Mondays-Fridays between the hours of 8am and 7pm then you are the person we are looking for.

Job Description:

Your role will involve:
  • Full-cycle sales consultation, negotiation and management of accounts using strong selling and influencing skills.
  • Conducting transactions in by making warm sales calls.
  • Meeting KPI targets such as sales, productivity and quality requirements as defined.
  • Working in a very fast-paced environment with strong multi-tasking skills.
  • High attention to detail is required.
  • Provides quality customer service over the phone, including information regarding products, services and other types of inquiries.
