Receptionist/Telephone Operator, Cashier (Kingston, Jamaica)

 Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the treasury functions on the Company's behalf
  • Validate returned invoices
  • Reconciliation of payments received
  • Prepare relevant weekly reports
  • Assist with the daily inventory process 
  • Filing of the necessary company documents
  • Any other duty assigned
Education & Experience:
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent certification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant accounting software
  • At least one (1) year similar experience
  • Excellent analytical skills and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, willing to work flexible hours and in a team environment

Receptionist/Telephone Operator 


Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Receiving and redirecting incoming calls
  • Making telephone calls as requested
  • Receiving, announcing and escorting clients/visitors to the relevant personnel department
  • Receiving and dispatching all messages in a timely manner
  • Receiving and logging all incoming mails and distributing such
  • Assisting with other administrative tasks
  • Any other duties assigned

The incumbent is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of a successful restaurant and is expected to develop and empower team members to perform at their optimum while delivering professional customer service in a harmonious environment. The preferred candidates should satisfy the requirements below:

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant efficient and optimum performance of staff and systems
  • Maintain a customer focused restaurant, ensuring that the quality service and delivery are in keeping with the company's high standards
  • Ensure that the restaurant upholds the required quality assurance and food safety standards of the company
  • Effectively communicate and maintain the company's culture and required standards through coaching and motivational exercises towards building a cohesive team environment
  • Ensure that the restaurant adheres to the respective occupational health and safety standards
  • Demonstrate effective people management skills to ensure resolution of problems in a timely manner, while exercising tact and confidentiality

  • Preparation and submission of reports to meet deadlines or as required
  • Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to work on public holidays and weekends as required
Qualifications & Experience:
Either 
  • A tertiary level accreditation in Business Management, Food & Beverage Management or Hospitality Management with a minimum of two (2) years management experience
Or
  • A secondary level accreditation with four (4) to five (5) years experience in managing a business, preferably restaurant or retail operations
  • Computer proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Word and Excel
  •  A valid food handler's permit is required
