A reputable furniture manufacturing company in Kingston seeks to identify a suitably qualified person to fill  the following vacancy:

Purchasing Manger

Duties Include:

• Source, review, compare, analyze, and approve products to be purchased.
• Track and coordinate the ordering, receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials
• Maintain suitable inventory levels.


• Oversee and coordinate all storeroom activities.
• Ensuring that the products distributed match the requirements for the requisite jobs.
• Manage, evaluate, and report on storeroom staff and productivity.

Requirement and Skills

• Tertiary level certification in business, logistics, supply and chain management or a related field.
• Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent, or similar role.
• Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices.
• Understanding of supply chain procedures.
• Superb written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Great organizational and planning skills.
• Knowledge of hardware and construction materials would be an asset.

Manager (The St. Monica's Children's Home) - Clarendon, Jamaica

 

The St. Monica's Children's Home 

Chapelton, Clarendon

The Diocese is seeking to appoint a Manager for the St. Monica's Children's Home which is a co-ed facility catering for boys up to twelve (12) years old and girls up to eighteen (18) years old who are wards of the state. The home accommodates up to thirty-five (35) children. The Manager is responsible for the physical, psychological, spiritual, security, health and safety needs of the residents, the supervision of service staff and the overall management of the facility.

Requirements:

• Tertiary level training in child development or related fields.
• At least three (3) years of work experience in a similar position.
• Training and or experience in administration and staff supervision.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Valid Food Handler's Permit.
• Police Record.

Applicants, preferably an Anglican, should be between the age of thirty-five (35) and fifty-five (55) years and should be able to operate a motor vehicle.

Accounts Clerk (Receivables)

Aeronautical Telecommunications Limited (Aerotel) is seeking to identify a suitably qualified individual to fill the above-mentioned post.

Required Qualification and Experience

• Certificate in Accounting
• Two (2) years' experience in a related field 
• Data Entry.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Assists in the collection of payments for services provided.
• Generates invoices for non-core services.
• Dispatches invoices
• Reconciles disputed accounts in collaboration with the client and other internal personnel.
• Assists with the preparation and dispatch of credit and debit notes.
• Collaborates with the Account Executives to collect outstanding payments.
• Maintains record of ageing accounts.

Key Technical Competencies

The Jobholder should possess the appropriate level of knowledge and skills in:

• Computing/Microsoft Applications - particularly Excel Spreadsheet.
• Maintains record of ageing accounts.
