Livestock Attendant (Old Harbour, St. Catherine, Jamaica) - CB Group

 


The Livestock Attendant is responsible for the day-to-day routine animal care and general farm tasks to ensure the well-being of the animals.

Main Responsibility:

  • Daily animal husbandry tasks
  • Work as a team player by accomplishing daily department work requirements and farm goals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely production information and records as required.
  • Assist in moving animals and maintaining efficient animal flows.
  • Treat sick animals with a variety of pharmaceuticals by injection, oral application, and/or other methods as required.
  • Assist with maintaining barn, including sanitizing and washing multiple areas on the farm using high pressure equipment, as well as office cleanliness and laundry duties.
  • Flexibility with a willingness to change plans according to the direction of farm leadership.
  • Adhere to the Company’s animal care policies and procedures including: providing a physical environment that meets the animal’s needs, providing access to adequate water and high quality feed, providing humane treatment of the animals, providing identification and appropriate treatment of animals in need of health care and following the guidelines for euthanasia.
  • Abide by all company policies, procedures and guidelines as directed by farm leadership, including but not limited to:
    • The Company’s Safety Program, understanding all safety requirements of the job and performing the job in compliance with those safety requirements.
    • The Company’s bio-security protocols
    • Acceptable monitoring of cobwebs, pests & insects, and complete required documents to aid in any form of traceability exercise and report generation.

Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Diploma in Agriculture (major animal science)
  • At least two (2) years’ working experience in animal production.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Good work ethic
  • Physical and demonstrated experience in animal husbandry and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to adjust and adapt to change.
  • Ability to learn new skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Possessing a valid Driver’s license is an asset.

Accounting Clerk (Kingston, Jamaica) - CB Group

Department: Finance & Accounting

Accounting Clerk

Main Function:

To assist the Senior Accountant in preparing timely reports, schedules and reconciliations within stated timelines. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Preparation of weekly / monthly bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of account schedules
  • Update Accounts Receivable sub-ledger for Contract Farmers
  • Preparation of journal entries
  • Filing of documents within the Financial Reporting department
  • Prepare General Journals for the period end
  • Collate Invoice/Payment documents for submission to Accounts Payables
  • Analysis expenses at the end of accounting period
  • Prepare expense accruals monthly
  • Reconciliation of cash in transit account
  • Assist with the account receivables accounts
  • Assist with preparation of monthly Profit & Loss/profit variance analysis
  • Reconciliation of all Inventory general ledger with subledger at the end of period
  • Participate in monthly stock count
  • Liaise with Internal/External Auditor as required
  • Work with Accountants to implement policy decisions
  • Keep abreast of global changes and their possible effects on the Group: e.g., IAS, WTO
  • Assist with preparation of unscheduled reports to facilitate decision-making

Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
  • First degree from an accredited institution ideally in finance or accounting
  • Pursuing professional accreditation for Finance / Accounting e.g. ACCA, CPA, MBA or equivalent
  • Knowledge of current IFRS, Jamaican laws
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of current changes in Accounting Standards & Principles
  • Ability to maintain and preserve strict confidentiality
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office software applications
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees and departments
  • Ability to implement company policies and procedures

Sanitation Coordinator (Lucea, Hanover) - CB Group

Department: Maintenance


Location: Lucea, Hanover


Sanitation Coordinator

The incumbent will be responsible to manage and coordinate the sanitation of the facility grounds, production machinery & equipment, buildings, and all apparatuses therein. Ensure that all documentations are persistently and accurately generated to Support the certification and audit programs (SQL, HACCP, ISO GMP, etc.) Ensure inventory and supplies are procured to continuously and effective outfit personnel and carry-out duties of the team.

Key Performance Indicators:
  • Collaborate with Management team and direct reports to resolve sanitation related challenges, complaints and grievances.
  • Motivate the team and increase morale.
  • Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the sanitation of both inside and outside of Premises.
  • Monitor, assess, report on employee performance.
  • Monitor contract periods of sanitation staff.
  • Ensure that sanitation activities are scheduled and carried out in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate work procedures and safety procedures to new team members or assign new members to experienced workers for training.
  • Monitor on the job training in collaboration with People & Culture department.
  • Enforce disciplinary action as appropriate.
  • Maintain documentation as per quality standards for the Sanitation operating procedures.
  • Participate in audits as required.
  • Participate in QMS meetings.

Key Deliverables:
  • Minimum accidents.
  • Acceptable range for sanitation evaluation results.
  • Acceptable range for lab finding on microbial checks.
  • Low absenteeism of team.
  • Food safety and security compliance.
  • On the job training schedule is maintained.
  • Performance evaluations are completed at least six months before workers are scheduled to go on break.

Tractor Operator (CB Group) - Kingston Jamaica


Job Category: Production

The incumbent will be required to utilize tractors equipped to move products and other items around the facility in a safe and appropriate manner. Responsibilities include the loading and unloading of trucks, supporting control with inventory documentation and full adherence to safety compliance regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Operating heavy duty equipment
  • Assist with the cleaning of vessels and wharf area.
  • Manually load and unload materials from pallets, etc.
  • Follow all workplaces safety policies and compliance regulations
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
  • Diagnose, identify defects in heavy duty equipment / forklift
  • Maneuver heavy equipment into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading team as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned
  • Check equipment before operating to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
  • High School Diploma or Certificate
  • At least 5 CXC or GCE subjects including Mathematics and English Language
  • training certificate from a recognized institution
  • At least 2 years’ experience as heavy duty equipment operator

The Senior Customer Care Coordinator supervises the tasks performed by the Customer Care Coordinators and guarantees that the quality of service delivered to internal and external customers is in adherence with the documented service standards of the company. This individual also plays an integral role in ensuring that sales targets are met or exceeded.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the service desk.
  • Provides initial contact with new customers.
  • Ensures that customer complaints are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintains customers records.
  • Maintains the customer database.  
  • Provides coaching and support for team members.
