Administrative Clerk (Kingston, Jamaica) - New Era Finance

Job Summary

We are seeking Administrative Clerk to work in a dynamic micro-financing institution New Era Finance Limited with a corporate office situated in Kingston. The position is open in Kingston.

Ideal candidates will be required to perform the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Data entry
  • Document verification
  • Reviewing and vetting of files
  • Filing and retrieval of documents, updating files
  • Registration of documents with Government agencies and department
  • Provide excellent Customer Service
  • Writing emails

Candidates should possess the minimum qualifications outlined below:

Qualifications and skills

  • AAT-CAT-ACCA Level 1 or an Associate degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Two (2) years’ experience in Accounting or Office administration
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Honesty and integrity
  • Good telephone etiquette
  • Professional values and attitudes suitable for a financial institution
  • Assertive and persevering attitude

Legal Assistant/Officer (Kingston) - New Era Finance Limited

Legal Assistant/Officer is urgently required to work in a fast growing and dynamic mcro-financing organization, New Era Finance Limited, with corporate office situated in Kingston.

Selected candidates must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, be highly detailed oriented and have the ability to multitask, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, require minimal supervision, be results driven and work well on a team.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Provide legal research and consultation on a wide range of issues
  • Prepare, dispatch and/or file legal documents
  • Represent the company on issues within the local judicial system (travel across the island-wide)
  • Write letters and make phone calls to delinquent clients
  • Possess superb written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer and technology skills
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
  • Bar admission and an active attorney's license
  • Two (2) years experience in field

Credit Officer (Linstead, Kingston, Spanish Town, etc) - New Era Finance Ltd

 

A Credit Officer is urgently required to work in a fast growing and dynamic micro-financing organization. Position open in Linstead, Kingston, Spanish Town, Montego Bay, Savanna-la-mar, Port Antonio, Mandeville and May Pen.

Selected candidates will be required to screen clients, appraise credit worthiness, conduct collateral valuation and computerized preparation of loan documents, carry out debt collection among other tasks. Ideal candidates will possess the minimum qualifications outlined below:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounts., Marketing or Banking
  • Three (3) years work experience in an office environment
  • Experience in loan underwriting, collections, and marketing
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Professional values and attitudes suitable for a financial institution
  • Assertive and persevering attitude
