Credit/Loan Officer (Kingston, Portmore, Brown's Town, Sav-la-mar & Montego Bay) - Worldnet Microfinance Ltd

Worldnet Microfinance Limited invites applications for the following positions:

CREDIT/LOAN OFFICERS for its: Spanish Town, May Pen, Brown's Town, Mandeville, Christiana and Montego Bay branches. 

Duties & Functions:

The Credit Officer is required to perform the following duties and undertake the following responsibilities in a professional manner:

  • To market and promote the company’s loan products which includes visits to business places, companies and taxi stands etc.
  • To maintain existing customers and propel the growth of new customers
  • To interview and process loan applicants
  • To ensure that loan applicants meet all the requirements prior to processing
  • To give prospective applicants information regarding the company’s products by phone and in person
  • Maintaining monthly production average in accordance with production target
  • To develop and implement strategies to significantly grow the company’s portfolio at the branch
  • Assist in the design and implementation of marketing plans for the company’s loan product which would include but not limited to: 1. Advertising 2.Promotional activities
  • Review and follow-up delinquent accounts on your loan portfolio
  • To practice proper office hygiene which includes ensuring that the office is kept in a clean and tidy manner
  • Ensure that clients leave a Google review after interaction with the company
  • Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications:

  • GCE 'O' Levels, CSEC or CAPE
  • One (1) to two (2)  years working experience as a Credit/Loan Officer would be an asset

  • Be able to exercise good work ethic and professionalism
  • Be highly motivated and performance driven
  • Must be analytical and have excellent problem solving and decision making skills
  • Be able to work on own initiative and under pressure
  • Must be able to communicate well both orally and in writing
  • Must have a keen eye for details

Job Description for Kennel Attendant/ Caretaker

  • Keep indoor and outdoor kennels clean at all times
  • Make sure that the reception area is always clean.
  • Monitor the fish tank – make sure the water is at an appropriate level.
  • The floor of the examination room, surgery room, x-ray room, must always be clean and odor free.
  • The front yard must be garbage free, plants watered and hedges trimmed when necessary.

  • Bathroom floor is cleaned at least twice a day; toilet and basin three times a week.
  • Tissue, hand soap and hand towels are replenished whenever necessary.
  • Indoor and outdoor plants are watered when necessary.
  • Wash all towels and dog bowls
  • Must be literate and people oriented

Head Chef Needed (Kingston, Jamaica)

A growing restaurant in a fast-moving area of Kingston and St. Andrew is recruiting a Head Chef to lead our culinary team. This team member will oversee the daily operations to ensure that we deliver food of the highest quality in safely, taste, and presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage performance and provide leadership and guidance to the staff in all operational areas including food preparation, safety, hygiene, and service delivery.
  • Monitor staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage to maintain service levels and operational needs.
  • Be vigilant in monitoring customer service to ensure that each customer has a pleasant experience.
  • Provide training and coaching for staff; demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment; be responsible for periodic menu upgrades.
  • Lead all catering events including menu preparation, pricing, food preparation, and serving, and ensure successful implementation.
  • Implement cost saving measures and monitor compliance to include food costs, supplies, equipment, and utilities.
  • Take initiative to grow our customer base and increase revenues.
  • Manage inventory to control costs and prevent stock-outs.
  • Demonstrate superior competence in food preparation, cooking, and presentation of a variety of meals for daily servings and special occasions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary certification in Culinary Arts and/or Food and Beverage Management or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years' experience in a similar capacity.
  • Proven management and leadership experiences.
  • Understanding of different culinary profiles and techniques; demonstrating strong technical competence in all aspects of food preparation and presentation.
  • Experience and proficiency in menu planning, costing, Inventory control, and Scheduling.
  • Must have the ability to work flexible days and hours.
  • A valid food handler's permit.
  • Sound knowledge of food safety regulations.

 Jamaica Packaging Industries Limited is seeking to employ a suitably qualified individual to fill the position of Accounting Officer

The Accounting Officer will have the responsibility for the processing of monthly and fortnightly payrolls; processing of payments; assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports; assisting in budget and audit preparation activities, including inventory counts.

Requirements:

  • ACCA level 1 or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with Accounting Major, or a Diploma in Accounting
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite applications and accounting software
  • Knowledge of accounting, auditing and bookkeeping principles
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience at a similar level
