Office Manager (Kingston, Jamaica) - KMP Maintenance Services Limited

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Associate degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar position
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite

Job Summary

The Office Manager position requires an in-depth knowledge of administration and management  theory and practice. Reporting to the Directors, the incumbent is required to assist with administrative duties to ensure the achievement of the company's objectives.

The essential duties to be performed include:

  • Exercise personal responsibility, judgement and initiative, subject to well-defined lines in supporting the strategic aim of the organization
  • Provide support (to the Directors) in the administration of projects 
  • Perform general administrative duties including managing stationery requirements and monitoring the functioning/service/repair of the office equipment
  • Draft correspondence to external agencies/organizations
  • Preparation of monthly expense reports
  • Review and maintain record keeping process of the organization
  • Arrange travel plans (local and overseas) for Director and employee in the execution of their duties
  • Manage Petty Cash Imprest
  • Greeting and managing visitors
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision

Office Manager (St. James & Clarendon, Jamaica) - The Electoral Commission of Jamaica

 The Electoral Commission of Jamaica invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the following position: 

Job Summary 


Responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of the Constituency Office, to include smooth operation in the processing of electors' applications for registration and the issuing of electors' identification cards.

Core Duties:

  • Prepares for submission to the Returning Officer: daily records with respect to voter registration
  • Assumes responsibility for the day-to-day administrative functions of the office
  • Assigns workers in ways to ensure accurate and timely collection and processing of elector data
  • Participates in the processing of electors for registration
  • Monitors work in the office to ensure the delivery of electors' I.D. cards in accordance with procedures
  • Visits electors at their homes in an effort to verify addresses given during the registration process
Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • ASc. degree in Business/Management Studies or equivalent qualifications
  • Training/experience in supervisory management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Minimum of two (2) years post secondary experience
Salary band: $1,025,877 - $1,219,446 per annum plus allowances

Location: St. Andrew North Central Constituency Office

Core Functions:

  • Enters electronically or manually, registration data of applicants
  • Visits electors' residences for verification purposes
  • Collates and summarizes daily activities for presentation to the manager
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • Five (5) CSEC subjects at grades 1, 2 or 3, inclusive of English Language and Mathematics
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in data entry
  • Proficiency in standard computer applications
Remuneration: $748,959 - $890,277 p. a.
Upkeep Allowance at the applicable rate

  • Coordinate and manages all field related activities including Boundary Redefinition, Elector Registration, Residence verification, Voter ID distribution and training of field staff
  • Sensitizes the public on the importance of the electoral system to democracy in Jamaica
  • Facilitates the participation of the public in all electoral activities
  • Monitors the performance of Returning Officers and all full-time employees of the Region
  • Coordinates and monitors all activities relating to the preparation for and conduct of national elections
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • First degree in Public Administration or Management Studies or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience at the middle management level
  • Working knowledge of project management policies and practices
  • Must own or operate a reliable motor vehicle
  • Experience in the electoral process would be an asset
Salary: $986,421 - $1,172,544 p.a. plus allowances.
